New journal CSS. It was looking incredibly plain around here, huh? Much better now.


I finally added some gallery CSS as well to match the journal CSS. The best example of it in my gallery is here.

HP decided to "junk" out my laptop and I now have a nice new one (and it's a better one).

Graphic of some sort coming in a few days.

My laptop has been in the shop now for two weeks. A call to them tells me that the part that is needed to fix my computer is currently on backorder. Now, remember, the computer went back to the manufacturer to get fixed. How the hell did they just run out of the damn part?

So now instead of the 3-4 weeks they said it would take to fix it, the time is currently at "unknown".

I'm extremely annoyed. I had the computer 45 days and now it's "unknown" when I will get it back.

So, as much as it's killing me that I can't make any graphics, I still can't make any.

My laptop is in for repairs. I had it a total of 45 days before it simply refused to turn back on. They tell me it will take 3-4 weeks before I get it back.

So, no graphics for a while.

I love stock providers. Without them, I'd be lost. But today....I'm sour.

I got a note from DA telling me one of my deviations was deleted due to copywrite violations. The admin that deleted it included this note:

The background image used contains copyrighted non-stock photography without the permission of the original photographer. It is not your fault as you did not know, but all uses of the photo must be removed.

First of all, I must thank the admin that deleted it for including that note. Otherwise, I would have been completely lost as to what was wrong.

I won't call out the "stock provider" here because that's not how I am (not to mention I'm not positive which image the admin was referring to....though I only used two stock images in the deviation and I'm almost certain as to which one was in violation). But I will say this, how lame can a person be to offer up "stock" that (1) isn't really stock and (2) wasn't even their image? I do not see how this could have been a simple "mistake" on their part.

I rely on stock providers as do many other users of deviantart and people that put "stock" on DA like this person did makes the whole system of DA faulty.

*shakes head*

All the more reason I need to start taking my own stock images and using those in my deviations. That way if anything went wrong, it would be my own fault.

To the "stock" provider: shame on you. And thanks for wasting my time.
